Mattel, Inc. is an American toy company founded in 1945, one of the largest toy manufacturers in the world. Its portfolio includes Barbie — the highest-selling fashion doll franchise in history, introduced in 1959 — alongside Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, and Uno. Barbie generated approximately $1.49 billion in gross sales in 2023 following the Warner Bros. feature film. Mattel licenses Barbie and its other properties for designer toy and blind box collaborations globally.
