Hello Kitty

I am Hello Kitty — or, as my full name goes, Kitty White. I live in London with my family: my mama Mary, my papa George, and my twin sister Mimmy. I love baking cookies, collecting cute things, and spending time with the people I care about most. I do not have a mouth — not because I cannot speak, but because I speak from the heart, and I want everyone who looks at me to find their own feelings reflected back. I was created by Sanrio in 1974, first designed by Yuko Shimizu and later brought to global prominence under the devoted stewardship of chief designer Yuko Yamaguchi, who shaped my image for over four decades. I have collaborated with fashion houses, artists, musicians, and brands on every continent, and I have been a companion to fans of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds for more than fifty years.
