William Hanna and Joseph Barbera created us in 1940, at MGM Studios. We are Tom, the cat who never quite catches his mouse. We are Jerry, the mouse who never quite lets him rest. We have been chasing each other for over eighty years — through living rooms, kitchens, concert halls, and outer space. We won seven Academy Awards. We became one of the most recognized animated duos in the world. We don't need words. We never did. The chase is the language, and everyone understands it.
