Winnie the Pooh

I am Winnie-the-Pooh — a bear of very little brain, and honey enough for a lifetime. A.A. Milne first wrote me into the world in 1926, inspired by a stuffed bear his son Christopher Robin carried through every adventure. E.H. Shepard drew me into being with a few careful lines that somehow caught everything: the round belly, the hopeful look, the willingness to get stuck in a honey tree and still call it a good afternoon. Disney brought me to the screen in 1966, and somewhere in that translation I became one of the most recognized characters on the planet — a hundred million plush toys, theme parks on four continents, and now a Pop Mart blind box series that turns the Hundred Acre Wood into something you can hold in your hand. I have never been complicated. I follow the honey, I keep my friends close, and I try not to overthink the things I do not understand — which, if I am honest, is most things. That has always seemed like enough.
